Loire Valley

The Loire Valley is a bit of a storybook destination in France. Located about 1.5 hours (125 miles) southwest of Paris, this region is known for the hundreds of Renaissance-era castles that fill the countryside. Some of them belonged to royalty, others to nobles. Some have incredible gardens, other have jaw-dropping architecture. All of them are unique and special in their own ways.
